  2. "He said many older adults worry that they haven't taught their kids enough about money. And he also notes that schools haven't done a good job, either."

I think this is very true, well the school part anyways, not many schools go into details about this stuff and i think they should.

  3. "Parents can share things like when they started saving (for the child's education), how much they put aside, how it was invested, how it grew," Leitz said. "These are important lessons. The same goes for loans. What will the interest be, when does the loan come due, how much will it cost each month to pay off?"
i think if parents did this more often some kids would know how to do more with their money. -hayli

  4. in the article the quote "She points out that real life situations often present good teaching opportunities." i feel makes a lot of sense because it wasn't always an idea to teach good financial skills it was learned first hand.i do agree with the idea of teaching it though because its obviously a necessary skill someone would need to have

  5. He is saying that its important to know if you can afford it and if you really need it. Meaning can you afford to have it or are you going to have financial trouble. Making sure you can afford it keeps you safe from debt and if you need it is do you need it or are you wasting money on it.

  6. "In our school district, there isn't a single course directed to finances," Jones said. "It should be just as important as health (education) — here's how to take care of your body, and here's how to take care of your financial situation."

taking care of your money isn't like taking care of your body. Also I don't think u can teach everything about money, I mean u can teach the tricks, try to give advice but I feel like everyone learns it on there own from experience
